What a brilliant weekend it's been in Wiltshire England, at the WOMAD Festival's 30th anniversary. Drum circles, drumming workshops and incredible performances. Here at the World Drumming Association, we decided to mark the anniversary by giving honorary membership to our favourite drummer on the bill. Pictures now in from the UK Centre Stage Final, with the Drummers being awarded their World Drumming Association Certificates, from WDA Tutor and Session Drummer; Isaac Heywood from WDA Recommended Academy "Rock School UK". The event was a brilliant success; over 1300 people turned up, £25000.00 raised for Martin House Children's Hospice and the bands played their harts out. Drumming under water for the Olympics

WDA Board Member Darren Squires, was commissioned to compose a rhythm for the arrival of the Olympic Torch. The rhythm was then taught to the crowds who lined the streets to welcome the torch by Darren and his workshop facilitators.
